Overland Journal vs. Clay Pigeons

This past Saturday, the Overland Journal staff spent the day at the Prescott Trap and Skeet Club.

A few options from the inventory, including my (new to me) side-by-side sidelock. (Thanks Dad)

What a great way to celebrate a great first year.

Sure looks like you had a lot of fun.

Glad you were able to take the time out to recognize the hard work and success.

Great job!

Yeah, and you guys should have seen Chris shoot (BajaTaco). I gave him an 1100 Remington for the day, and he could hardly miss. It was the first time he had shot a shotgun...

Best not to mess with the Taco dOOd :gunt:

Those are some beautiful guns! I've only been out clay shooting a few times -- once at the Picacho Sporting Club north of Tucson, with a bunch of my dad's buddies who call themselves the "Southern Arizona Bushmasters." They had 10 different stations set up, each one to simulate a different bird's flight path (and one for a rabbit). It was a blast (pun intended)!!

Wow...a year already!
Beautiful long guns....some classy stuff there.
I was thinking that it's been a long time since I shot trap & skeet. :REOutShootinghunter
Actually got college credit for it! Yeah...a long time ago!

I love to ger out and knock down a few birds. If you are ever headed over to Vegas take a gun along and shoot their course. Really nice range that hosts a lot of competitions with a killer sporting clays range.

If I ever make it down your way we'll have to go shoot.

Congratulations on your first year! No better way to celebrate great writing than a day of fine shooting and fine wine.

My wife and I just took up skeet and sporting clays after shooting guns for the first time ever in November. We are absolutely hooked and enjoying shooting more than we could ever imagine. Fortunately, Prince George’s Trap and Skeet Center in Maryland is an excellent shooting facility close to home, and we have been taking lessons. Right now shooting rental guns (Prince George’s is a Beretta dealer, so a 390 Gold 12 ga semi-auto for me, and a 391 Urika 20 ga semi-auto for spouse) until we learn enough to make intelligent decisions about purchasing our own guns (and going through the long, drawn out process in Washington DC to get gun permits).

If you ever get out this way, bring that nice collection of guns along and we’ll head out to Prince George’s for the day.

Congratulations to the OJ crew for one year! You guys deserve some serious R&R.

For a second I thought I was on the EE site, but quickly realized there were no pictures of watches:shakin:
