Went last year. Was very fun although for the price, I'm not sure I can justify going again simple because I've taken most of their courses, I'd want to take...

Interested in going. Thinking about the $145 package, but wondering if it's worth it.

Off-roader, would you recommend it?

Are you talking about the Overland Rallies (put on by Expeditions West), or the Overland Expo (put on by Conserventures)?

Based on the dates and location, I'm assuming the Overland Rallies . . .

Its all new to me and looks like a good time. I'm going to do the $145 pkg with the classes. I need to get schooled on this stuff.

The price inst all that bad either. I paid @ $400 to do a track day at Laguna Seca Raceway with Keith Codes California Superbike school. And let me tell you something, I'd do that again in a hot minute!!!

Hi guys, thanks for the enthusiasm and interest in attending the Overland Rally and Workshop in Hollister.

Some of the classes will be similar to last year but many will be evolving to a more advanced level to keep everyone learning more! It will be very engaging, even for those who attended last fall.

The price of $145 is for evertything including camping which was a separate charge last year, and pre-registering gets you a 20% discount!

Also, Goodtimes is correct in his post, the event in Hollister is part of the Overland Rallies and Workshops event series put on by Expeditions West and Expedition Portal.

Regards Brian

I looked at the registration page, where do you get the 20% off? I wanted to sign me and my wife up. If there 2 of us and 1 vehicle will she be able to drive in a course too?

Thanks, Chris

This coupon is a special offer to Expedition Portal members so it is not published on the website.

Yes, your wife will be more than welcome to drive and ecouraged to do so.
Additional passengers can drive the same vehicle.

Brian

Great! Thanks for mentioning the hookup for Expedition Portal members, McVick. I'm putting in a request at work for October then signing on.

Silverwulf, I'm attending the Esprit De Four 4WD Safety Clinic on May 21 in Hollister. Although not quite oriented towards overlanding, they do course runs for off roading. It's designed for newbies and old salts so you may find it fun. http://www.espritdefour.com/dynamic/?page_id=26.

Right on. I'll register for Overland Rallies once I'm sure I can get the October dates.

For now, I'm just about to register for Esprit de Four. I'll be on the look out for Monties.

Well, I am the OP. And this mitsu section dosn't see much traffic anyway...

Sooo, any Mitsu's going? I am seriously considering it. Got the time off. Finally got my trucks timing belt/h2o servive done and front and rear brakes done. Still need to drill and tap the broken skid plate bolts. Thats happening friday.:coffeedrink:

How coincidental... a good buddy of mine who owns a gen 1 Monty worked for their maintenance group until recently.

I hope so see some othe monties there :smiley_drive::costumed-smiley-007
Unfortunately I won't be there this year. Just not enough stuff I want to see this time around. Had an awesome time last year though winning the rally at the end of the weekend.

When is this one?

yup. Seems 4x4 wire's mitsu tech forum gets the most traffic for any mitsu 4x4 forum in N America. Then again were even more of a red headed step child in the US 4x4 scene than pretty much any other brand.:Wow1:
