Late to the Party - Global Road Trekker Just starting Jan 2012

Hi Everyone,
Great to see so many blogs of other travelers out there. And in perusing the list I'm thrilled to report we already know about many of you!
I'm Wendy. My husband Jim and dog Neva and I are just leaving this month from the US into Mexico and headed south into Central and South America for the next year. If all goes well we'll ship into South Africa in a year or so and travel up Africa into Europe eventually and across Europe into Asia.... all the way round. Phew!

Here is a shot of us leaving Colorado early December. Our last stop was a visit with our friends at EarthRoamer for a few last bits and pieces.

You can find out website at http://globalroadtrekker.com or follow us on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/globalroadtrekker.

Hi, Moglander here. I'm usually busy bringing Merv and Sarah on their travels, but from time to time I pose for photos, and drop them off at interesting places so they can visit, and also at fuel stops so they can keep me fed. And I'm a thirsty mog!

Anyway, you can read about my adventures, and those of my passengers over at www.moglander.com

This thread will be dedicated to host a list of links to the websites/blogs of overland travelers around the world. Two things to keep in mind: One, is that there are hundreds of blogs out there. Two is due to the finite nature of most expeditions, some links are to trips that have been completed or are on pause. All of the links will lead to wonderful adventures, photos and insight that will be ...

Yep, hundreds of blogs out there and it is truly hard to figure out a way to catalog them. I apologize for the abandonment of this thread on my part... These days we basically follow a handful of travel blogs, mostly folks driving the America's. Our friend Joachim from http://www.reisestationen.de/ created a thorough list of Panam overland drivers blogs, it is well curated and extremely well organized check it out at http://panamericanainfo.com/websites/

I guess we're really doing this...

We might as well add our names to the list. Brenton & Shannon driving from Texas to Patagonia, zig-zagging all the way across the Americas. We're currently taking our time through Mexico, but we'll get there eventually. After South America there's a strong possibility we'll head to Africa.

You can follow us through our website, or even on Facebook

hi, we're driving from LA to Argentina in a 1997 VW Eurovan Camper. We left in Oct 2011. Currently broken down in Honduras but hope to be running again soon. Our blog is www.seventeenbysix.wordpress.com

great blog - I have had a Eurovan myself and had to deal with the infamous transmission...good luck. Don't forget that I believe technically you are supposed to swap the electronic module from your original transmission (or something like that, I don't remember the exact details - but it was complex).
