Picked up mine on November 18th. Camped in blm area on the way back in heavy wind. Windy.com said constant around 16-18 with gusts even more. Jeep was rocking but there was zero flapping from the canvas. Impressed is an understatement.

I camped in some decent wind in Death Valley and was also impressed. The tensioned canvas is a important detail for camping in the wind.

Congrats and welcome to the cult!

We’ve been in really bad winds, like 35-40 gusts and the canvas still resists flapping. Jay builds ‘em tight.

Let us see how you do your build out over time.

Will do. It’s going to be a pretty basic set up. Insulation of some sort and a fabric to cover.

Really like this little table and the bedrug.

Added some puck lights to the interior. They dim and have a red light setting.
Puck light link pls ;)

I also love a "soft white" light that dims, AND HAS A RED SETTING. The classic Alu-Cab lights. I find the harsh white of Natural White or even blue white, is terrible at night.

It is so hard to find a good size LED that has soft white about 3500k color, dimmable, and a red setting. However, I found these! 12v, I really like them. Made a vid:

Not for everyone, but we have found these work extremely well in our camper. We move them around as needed, but typically its just twisting the angle of the head. They are dimmable, and rechargeable. I have USB ports in my interior build and I have a few that are just permanently plugged into the house battery for footwell lighting for those middle of the night nature calls.

The soft light dims, not as low as I would like, but not bad.
The red does not dim though.

We had ours installed on the same day! We've spent three nights in it so far. It even got down to 12 degrees but we were hot with the diesel heater running. 1000003785.jpg1000003786.jpg

Howdy, I'm thinking about getting a F-150 with the Powerboost engine, Anyone have this rig? We are Snowbirds so do the drive from eastern Washington to Arizona twice yearly. Think it would be beneficial to have a built-in power supply.
Was also thinking about the Lightning but not convinced I want to make the lifestyle change of preplanning our trips around charger availability. We like to do trips up to BC and the Yukon in the summer.

Played around with my heater today. I cut both the power and control cables. Added twist connect fittings. Drilled and mounted the surface mounts.
I’m looking to add an external solar port and shore plug to my camper - when you added those plugs how are you attaching them?

Through bolts w/ nuts on the inside? Screws? Would rivets through the skin work?

I’m assuming some kind of sealant behind the plug as well?
