Another option is a " Thermarest Mattress" . Great insulation from the ground if you are tenting, available at REI or Sport Chalet.

I've never used the Thermarest, but I've found the exped down mat to be warmer than my 4" Silverback Paco Pad (not quite as comfortable though IMO)
