Padre Island National Seashore / Heroes on the Water

Met up w/Heroes on the Water for an Epic Adventure.
Parking lot meet & greet, rig discussion, lots of kayaks.
The plan was to drive to Yarborough Pass to camp & fish.

At the 15 mile maker is the pass to the backside of the island. Different times of the year it goes from easy to impassible. We had several vehicles get stuck, it was a good thing one of the guys had an awesome International Scout w/7.3 Powerstroke. My plan was to hit it going fast in 4hi, it worked great in the X.

Camp site set up, with various members of the group coming in during the night. A few more stuck and some more tugs w/the Scout.

Tall (fishing) tales & listening to the guys tell war stories, makes one thankful. Some of our crew set out long rods w/cut bait and brought in a few oversized reds.

Woke up dawn-patrol to chase down some fish, mostly undersized, and a few guys brought in keepers.
More lies & bbq to be had.

It was a great trip, lot's memories.
Can't wait till the next one.
