Parking Brake Cable on Dexter Backplate

I bought one of these handle from Ebay and trying to figure out the most elegant way to mount it on the tongue. I'm currently in the middle of building an A frame tongue for the kamparoo. I'm wondering if I can mount it vertical, just like in the Ebay pic and if the cable can still be run toward the rear. I don't know if the parking brake cable housing can come to the front horizontally, then turn 90deg and attach to the handle. If not, I can always mount it horizontally so that the cable runs straight out the back of the handle and goes toward the rear.

I installed my parking brake system over the last few days. Really happy with how it works and definitely impressed with the build quality on the parts I got from The Parts House.
Here's a video I put together while I was finishing the install today. I've done a bit more clean up work and plan to get a few pics of everything once I get the trailer painted in the next few days.
