I have just replaced the blades. The new ones don't seem to be sitting tight to the windshield.
Not sure how the old ones were as they were so dry rotted.
On the passenger side... About 5 inches of the outside and 2 inches of the inside edge don't touch the windshield when the arm is down.
When it wipes the edges just smear and don't wipe. There is actually a void in the wipe pattern were the blade does not touch.
Here is the inside edge of the passenger side where it's smearing on a clean windshield....
The craziest thing is when you drive over 45 mph the blade actually flutters on the ends like wings.... lol. Gonna try to get some video tomorrow.
I tried to get some pics but not sure if it will translate.
I believe the actual arm is not holding the blade down tight enough. Do the springs wear out in the arm itself? Can they be tightened or replaced, or do you have to replace the arm?
The rear one does not make full contact either.
