Pastime hard side camper

I have a 2000 Tacoma that has 5 inches of lift and currently running 315/75/17 but will be down sizing to 255/85/16. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2002 Pastime hard side camper for ($2500). The current owner uses a stock 2002 Taco to hual it and has no issues. I will only be using it on the highway for winter camping at ski resorts and state parks for snow shoeing. I have yet to see any hard side campers on the Tacos here. The camper weighs in at 805 lbs so its not too heavy for the truck. I know it will be SLOOOOOW climbing the hills.

The lift on my truck is a combo of suspension and body, yes I know most people on Expo dont like body lifts but I have had NO issues for the 210,000 plus miles its been on the truck (the truck has 279,000, all mine :0).

So does anyone run a Taco with a lift and a hard side camper?

Seems like I have run across a couple photos of a hard-side on a Gen1 Tacoma, but I do not know where on the web it was. Sorry.

If it's only 800 lbs, I'd roll it.. For the price, and if it fits what you want, buy it. You can always sell it later!

There is one for sale on a lifted 95' Taco in Arlington. Maybe go for a "test drive". There is a link to cl ad in Astroxx thread. At least if you drove this guys combo you would know what to expect, and see how it handles. I wouldn't show up in YOUR Taco though...
