I looked at some ready made alternatives and didn't like the weight or the price
and any m416 I could find was beat to death.
so I decided to build a dinoot J-series trailer.
Making the floor.. I went ahead and double sided the entire floor where the plans
only doubled some parts of the floor. Since you have to buy two sheets anyway
and I was able to do that without any extra marine plywood. Due to adding a box,
water tank and battery I move the axle a little forward of the plans

built the frame with 2x3x.125 tubing ordered a straight 3,500lb axle from dinoot with no bend
I also planned on carrying a spare under the frame with a toyota spare tire holder. Another
reason for moving the axle forward

You need to cutout the wheelwells on the side panels so made up the cut line
and crossed my fingers. the plans are there just read them a couple of times
and measure two or three times before cutting

after cutting and luckily getting it right . I clamped the sides and fenders to check it out
and see what the 16 in tacoma wheels would look like. Used an AT tire since they don't
throw as much mud and roll easier as the large thread tires.
I did order the tub with reinforcement on the front panel since things are know to roll
around in trailer

I lucked into five (5) new jeep JK rubicon wheels and tires. The bad part is I had to buy all five
and only need two. Since I had already order the axle to fit the tacoma wheels I had to do
some figuring and modifying. This worked since the jeep wheels would not fit the trailer hubs
anyway so went to spacers and everything worked out well

I was hoping I could get plates and registration this far along and hauled it to the local MVD office,
but they sent me home with a sheet of what is needed here in AZ and told to come back when I
finished.

So I started bedlining the floor and tub
the white thing on the floor is a moth that committed suicide

You attach your lights to the rear of the tub outwards of the tailgate. the tailgate is another
reason I went with the dinoot rather than am M416
the part you cut from the side tub part should not be thrown away. I cut pieces to fit and
epoxied them to the part where the taillights attach for reinforcement. While doing that a
roadrunner caught a large lizard and use my jeep and a place to rest

putting bedliner on the tub and put the fender flares on
also weld on frame extensions for bumperettes and a rack
Had to move the spare tire mount due to getting larger tires

put the axle together with the springs over the axle
figured out that that was way too high
so had to pull the axle out and put the axle over the springs
much better and still nothing drags or hits

added some steel for support for a box I found at Tractor Supply with bedlined plywood
as the base. Started making the rack support/bumperettes

put in a water tank just in front of the axle the spare sit just in front and
protects the tank. I used plywood that was bedlined as a skidplate. I weld
square tubing and welded bolts to that. Should have used angle iron would
have been easier
