PEI and New Brunswick

Got back a couple of weeks ago from Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Spent 4 days in PEI on the east side of the island and 3 days on the fundy side of New Brunswick staying at the Fundy Provencial Park. I would highly reccommend the park. It has some great hiking, fishing, water falls, and an ocen view. It also has winter camping which I may go back this winter to give it a go. As usual so many places to see yet never enough time.

Lots of natural erosion. We saw trees horizontal ready to fall in.

PEI is neat and a cool place to visit. New Brunswick has some wicked-nice places to explore!

Looking forward to more pictures!

the Hopewell rock formations. This all created by the highest tide in the world. We saw a sign that stated if you were caught in the tide "please climb above seaweed level and wait 2 to 3 hours

Low tide. Good chance to work on boats bottem

Overall, great trip. We would reccommend it to go to the maritimes. Even though we are from Maine, its good to see our neighbors to the east. Next stop, the Maine forest rally and then Northern Maine a few times before school starts.

Great pics...heading up there at the end of Aug..Panmure Island. Hitting Gaspe, and Mt. Carleton first. After PEI, we head to Cape Breton Island, then a B&B, followed by Fundy and Acadia

THanks for sharing!

Yeah - the OLD boats are in fields, not the water. ;)

No kidding! lol

I went to Halifax last summer, I had thought about going across the bridge to PEI but we just didn't have enough time. It's marked down for a future trip. :)
I didn't even visit the Fundy side, nor take in any of the parks in NS, so I still have a lot to see just in that province.
And I've only zipped through NB as well on a couple of ocassions...
Hmmm..... seems like I have a lot to se on the east coast, might have to pencil in two trips... :D

From what a couple of locals said in PEI, a lot of the lobter boats are not even going out. Some have pulled the traps and called it a season. Prices are down and the expenses are up. Same here in Maine. We are getting lobsters . but for a lot of people, its not worth it.

Lets us know when your trip is. We would like to meet with some people down the road. It would be fun for sure.

It's going to be at least a few years down the road, if you pardon the pun.
I have to get through teacher's college and land a full time contract, then I'll have plenty of time to make my way across the country. ;)

But I will definitely post my plans on here before heading out.

Thanks for the picture of home (New Brunswick). Was back there in May and the wife hurt her back and I was unable to show her around some more.
