Pelican Case General Mechanics Tool Kit

New, unused Pelican GMTK (General Mechanics Tool Kit). Based on the Pelican 0450WD tool chest, this was apparently built for a DOD contract. There are only the slightest marks on the exterior from moving it, it hasn't been shipped or abused. It's a remarkably complete 173 piece tool kit, completely unused with both metric and standard sockets and wrenches. Rather than list each item, I've attached pictures of each of the 7 drawers and the top shelf. It's on wheels (with a spare set included as part of the kit), which you'll want as it's very heavy (96 lbs.)

Amazon lists it (but it's on backorder) here: http://www.amazon.com/Armstrong-SGM...TDS2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336706487&sr=8-1

And some additional background information on it can be found here: http://www.armstrongtools.com/content3.aspx?500tuccidi=d+STSAW/mVfF6ZaarrNACQ==

Asking $1800. This is located in Northern VA, and is available for local pickup only. Happy to answer any questions.

Man, I would love to pick this up! I used this in Afghanistan and did everything from fuel injectors and alternators to entire engine swaps on generators with this kit. It is awesome, I especially love the ratcheting wrenches

Worth it.

As a friendly offer of support... this is a way better kit than the older Mil-spec ones. The pelican case is far better designed and way more durable. I pulled an old style (non pelican version) ut of the recycle dumpster here a little while ago. I thought "whoopiee" as I saw what it was. Sure it was sans tools and full of water but I thought it would be great! Just let me say that the old versions don't end up in the dumpster by accident. I may still try and make it work but I sure wish it was as well built as the one here being sold.

Wish I needed it.... great kit!
Have you tried posting on Garage Journel... if you need to know anything about tools, equipment and your garage.... go there.
Great bunch of people.... someone there may need it.

To answer a question I got off-line, yes I'll absolutely work with you to arrange pickup, transfer to other people to get it to you, etc. I will also take it to the UPS store for you.
Thanks,
Tony

Turns out that his a full set of ratcheting wrenches as well, which apparently means it was built for a USMC contract. $1650?
