Greetings,

After expanding our family by another human (6 month old), we feel we may have outgrown our perfect little truck camper that has taken 3 of us (2 humans and a large dog) seemingly everywhere in a short period of time. We really enjoyed working with the good folks at Phoenix popups to build a custom camper specific for our outdoor lifestyle back in early 2010 and look forward to working with them again. This has been one great rig for us and may be tough to part with.

Our custom camper was built with an all aluminum frame and built to fit perfectly on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma long bed. The inside of the camper pops up to 6'4''. We had an extra long cab over bedding area (Queen) that does not require any adjustments within the cabin to sleep. We took advantage of light tech wood composites on the interior to help maximize the weight savings while not skimping on nicer items such as a 3 way fridge/freezer combo, hot water heater, 3 burner stove, heater and outdoor shower. All interior lights are LEDs which help to keep power consumption to a minimum.

The queen sized bedding area features an under bed storage area for clothes plus a secondary storage area at the very front for things like books maps, computers and other items that you like to keep safe. We have a brand new 4 inch memory foam mattress as our bed.

The camper ceiling contains two vents, one of which is a fantastic fan with brand new replacement screen material. We had the roof reinforced with extra Aluminum at the time of build in order to safely load and carry gear. I am 215 pounds and could stand on the roof (closed) without any concern. The roof contains full Yakima tracks from front to back to haul all of the gear you can fit on your rig. We also had assist lift shocks built into the camper to help lift the roof when it is loaded with gear.

Camper Features:
Large cab facing front window
Quality sheet vinyl flooring with wood look.
Welded aluminum cage frame
Queen size loft bed
4″ memory foam mattress
Under bed storage auto lift
Phoenix simple lift roof lift
Screen entry door
LED 12v ceiling lighting
Lined curtains for all windows
Aerodynamic molded fiberglass cab over
Triple layer insulated pop up liner
12v power outlet in kitchen
12v to 110v portable power inverter
Safety entry handle
Large radius tinted side window
Furnace 20,000 BTU automatic
Refrigerator
3 burner cook range
Water system with sink and electric pump
Seating area and table makes 2nd bed
Deep cycle on board battery system
Corner jacks with drill attachment
“Fantastic vent” power cooling vent
Exclusive ratchet strap installation
Full Length Yakima Track system on roof
Reinforced Roof

I've built a garage dolly for the camper that makes storage in the garage nice and easy and would be happy to include it with the sale.

Take a look and contact me if interested. Happy to answer any additional questions.

Thanks,
Brian

My father has this exact same truck/camper set-up and it is SWEET! The camper is surprisingly roomy inside, he averaged 18mpg on his way back from the last Overland Expo (only weighs like a 1000lbs) where he purchased it new from Phoenix and he paid a hell of a lot more than $15k... As in almost double that.

If anyone is wanting a good set-up for their Taco this is the best you can get IMO.

Bump for a great camper at a good price.
