W00t!! :jumping: Had to take a sleeping pill last night to get some sleep!!!

I put together a list of things to ask the seller for....

-XM Satellite Account (need ID for radio, it's in the dash)
-Any records from repair work/oil changes etc
-Shore power cord
-D-shackles for bumpers (weren't on the truck when i test drove it)
-K40 CB Antenna (needs to be screwed on before i leave the sellers place)
-On board Air compressor (never was shown the compressor on the test drive)
-Original invoice (would be nice to have if they would give it to me)
-Original manuals
-Spare Keys
-SMB bottle jack

Anything im leaving out...?

-XM Satellite Account (need ID for radio, it's in the dash)

I think you can get the radio ID by tuning to either channel 0 or 1 if the previous owner doesn't have it handy. I can't remember which channel it is, but I'm near positive it's one of those two. Also, it looks like the XM-Sirius merger is getting the green light, part of the deal is existing subscribers are supposed to get locked in pricing...we'll see if that ends up as reality.

Congrats on the new rig!

Dave, you know what.. i forgot all about that!... i haven't had a satellite radio in so long i forgot you can just tune to the channel to find out the ID.

Wesel... hahahahaha yeah  I'll have to wear a bandana around my neck or something.. lol

Is it 5 yet? This is going to be the longest day in history.

I suggest you have the seller show you how everything works. I videotaped this when I bought mine. Even though there is a SMB manual there are some things not covered. If you have time, have the guy explain everything while you video.

oh, and can I now say congrats?

I'm sooo green. :)

Name change to SOCALSMB coming?
That is why I'm simply Nut Squad. So much easier to not have to change my name with every new purchase or sold off rig. :)
Plus, I've had it since the caveman days of the internet.

Congrats on the new adventure!

Hey SoCal,

Congratulations! I know the feeling as we too just picked up our SMB on 7/16/2008. You will just love it! The hard part is deciding where to go.

I look forward to more info and some pics when you get a chance.

Enjoy it!

Good deal! All of this recent van action on the portal has got me fired up! We need to organize our own rally in the Sierras sometime next month..... That would be awesome.

Congrats on getting everything in order for the SMB purchase!

You might want to get a "Don't laugh your daughter might be in here" license plate frame as an homage to the forefathers of all things van. ;)

The sticker I had on my VW bus said "Don't smile, your daughter might be in here" :Wow1:

Which isn't a funny as is used to be, because my daughter might be in there :littlefriend:

Well its home!!!!! What a great rig. I'll have pics tomorrow!

The pioneer NAV unit is already crapping out on me though.. i think the motor on the screen is going out.. i will have to have it looked at tomorrow.
