Found it in Canada. It came surplus from one of the British military bases here. not very many here. Only 11,000 miles. Perkins 4 liter turbo diesel. 5 speed spicer gearbox, dana 70 axels Air locker on the Tcase. Based off Euopean Dodge and the north american dodge van stuff fits body wise like doors windows etc. Decent fuel economy also.

Quite a bit of the stuff is standard dodge. I needed a windshield to get it saftied and I just called a local shop and asked for a 92 dodge window and they took one right of the shelf and installed it. I will leave the front end as it is I kind of like its uniqueness. Yes Perkins Phaser is the engine. All mechanical direct injection no touchy computer chip control to fail and leave you stranded and it starts and runs great.
I havent done any actual trip calculations on its MPG yet this summer once I start taking it on long runs I will calculate it. Other owners in europe etc are reporting 25+ MPG.

I'd be shocked if you get 25+ mpg. That has to be a pretty heavy piece of machinery. Were they calculating using liters, imperial gallons, other?

Gotta love no computers to glitch and leave you stranded. Love simple technology. Are there lights behind the grilles where the factory Dodge headlights were? They look empty and it looks like the headlights are now in the bumper?

No idea how they were calculating and it was pretty much heresay. It could have been down hill in neutral with a tailwind:smiley_drive: The areas where the dodge headlights were are covered with louvers and are part of the grill. The one on the left side is where they attached the licence plate. The headlights were moved to the bumper for protection while operating cross country and they are a Lucas halogen 7" that are common on similar military trucks. It cruises no problem between 90 and 100 km/hr.

Recently picked up a 2006 chateau 6.0 with low miles in PRISTINE condition. Dropped it off at U-Joint Offroad and Chris brought my ideas to life! Now I will be doing the exterior and interior build out. See the amazing progress
