Thank you all who helped with pictures (all 2), I though this was a more popular size, and figured there would be more around. I guess I'll just stick with my 295's.

The tire size is VERY popular, but the rim size that you are requesting is more the minority. I chose 7's cause they were more in the mid range for rim width. Seems like most factory wheels are narrower than 8 as well.

I'm this close (my fingers are 1/4" apart right now; really...) to getting 255/85-16s and putting them on my 16x8 Procomp wheels for the trip to Arizona next month.
Still tossing back and forth on Toyo or BFG though.
I love my 285/75-16 Goodyear MTR/kevlars. Love them. LOVE.
On the trail, that is.
But they don't lend themselves to good fuel economy at all on the highway. And they're down to less than 10/32" tread ---- some quick math says that I could replace them now or replace them during the roadtrip.
Anybody need some pretty decent used tires?
