Pictures of a new Sprinter Conversion with rear bike storage section

long story - a few months ago my friend took a Sprinter van to GTRV in Vancouver to get a conversion done for a client in the Bay Area. The client wanted a garage section in the back to put his bikes. The conversion was done on a 2006 Sprinter 2500 extended and high roof.

My friend drove the van back last week from B.C. to deliver it. We were really excited to see the results!

The conversion was really well done and very professional.

That is pretty cool. I had not thought about the roof being so tall that one could build a bed over the bike garage. Hmm.

Since MB and Chrysler have gone their separate ways, and I suspect that Chrysler will be sold off in pieces within 2 years, I wonder what kind of problems long term owners will have with parts and repairs.

The 2008 Sprinter offers a "mega-roof" model that's even taller than the high roof model -- 7 feet of stand up room inside. There's tremendous interior space. The tall van looks like a loaf of bread on wheels, however. Or maybe a partially inflated hot air balloon. The mega roof is available with skylights or translucent panels to illuminate the interior.

Just cozy up to your local Frieghtliner dealer as in all likelihood they'll continue to sell the Sprinter.
