Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet. Manufactured and sold in India since 1955.

The Bullet 500 makes 22 horsepower / 16 kW, factory fresh, at sea level.

We were riding two-up, with a tank bag (intercom, etc.), loaded pannier boxes (camera backpacks) plus a dry bag (clothes, misc) and two lens tubes (video camera & misc).

Highest elevation on this trip with this bike was 11,254 feet.

The Bullet does not make 22 horsepower / 16 kW at 11,254 feet.

:)

I picked up my KLR a month ago and have fallen in love with it. Thanks for all of your great pictures!

Here it is in southern Wyoming.

Was it a rental?

I really want to fly in, rent an Enfield, ride around for a couple weeks, then fly home.

Awesome pictures. I didn't even realize until tonight that this section was here (yes, I'm a noob to this forum).

Here are mine:

BMW R1150GSA (which I regrettably sold a few years back):

Recent trip down Hwy. 2 didn't realize but I ended up on the top of Mt. High in Wrightwood. Perfect day for a ride.
