Anyone ever run Pirelli Scorpion Mud tires?

Good deal on them at Pricesmart 31x10.5x15 for $160.00

They seem to be unheard of in US but all over AU, CA, SA.

Thnx

Never seen them here in the US. They look a lot like a Dunlop Mud Rover and such. Probably not terrible, but I haven't heard much good about Pirelli off road tires.

Thats one of the reasons I am considering them, I use to run Pirelli gravel rally tires and they were the most robust in rally. Could not kill'm. Only thing that came close was Lassa (Turkish Bridgstones). But not sure where the lines are drawn within Pirelli on car and motorsport tires.

I ran Pirelli/Metzler as often as possible on my various motorcycles ----- very high quality and I was never disappointed with them.
I don't see why their MT would be bad ----- although the Scorpion AT is the absolute worst I've ever witnessed offroad (even worse than the stock 'Stones on my JK).

I say get'em.

I have Pirelli Scorpion trails on my Hyperstrada and they don't work well in the mud at all!!

The Pirelli rally tires are a completely different animal than the off road truck tires that's for sure. If they are cheap enough, give them a try.

They look like BFGs old style mud terrain. The only thing I don't like after looking at the pictures is lack of siping.

Be carefull with this Tire.

They are very soft, made for Mud only.

Sidewall is like a unboiled egg...

But in very soft terain they performed not bad.

I have them on my 110
16x85x235
About 18 months now (~15k km)

Very good in gravel, rock, mud & beach sand

A bit too noisy on the road but a 110 defender is 'a bit' noisy anyway so...

Pretty rare in my neck of the woods also
Got the last (& only?) set they had, couldn't get a 5th spare
