Platinum Products Drop Slide
Part #: ENG-DS40 - $649.00
Fits most 40qt fridges. See dimensions for exact tray size.
Shipping Weight - 80lbs - 38"x8"x24"
Notes: Tie Downs are not included.
The Platinum Drop Slide is THE solution for access to your fridge (or any other heavy item) when mounted on a platform in the back of your expedition vehicle. Those that have the fridge installed in such a way, know what a pain it is to get on the tailgate and then dig into the fridge to find that cold beverage.
Normal fridge slides allow you to move the fridge from the inside of the vehicle to outside for easier access. The Drop Slide goes one further. The tray drops nearly 12" for easier access to the top of the fridge.
It is as easy as pulling it out and dropping it down. Putting it back is as simple as applying some pressure on the handle, and with the help of gas charged shocks, the fridge is raised to the platform height, and then it is just pushed into place.
The locking mechanism locks the drawer in place as well as allowing the slide to be extended without dropping.
The Drop Slide is manufactured from steel and finished in a flat black powder coat. The bearing sliders, gas struts and locks have been tested in Australian Outback conditions.
