Yah we live 30 kms from saskatoon so the drive everyday is just boring. If it wasn't for the stupid potholes that the city doesnt want to fix I would fall asleep. Actually potholes is a nice way of saying it. Craters are more like it.

Anyway you want a new fg or do you consider used? US?

Well im open to all options new used I have 2 in sight one I want more but its a long distance away. My problem is I dont ~~really need~~ it but I do have many great uses for it. I think want it to be an offroad welding/tool rig down the road. When TREE said "Gear 1 was effortless felt like their was nothing behind me" I imagined a pretty suit offroad recovery unit. the FG should tug my ram 3500 and trailer out of some sticky places I currently fear. not to sure about U.S. Importing but if you or anyone else is willing to fill me in im listening. I know a guy who recently got a great deal on his 32ft fiver.

Just take it easy. Dont rush things and eventually you will find that one beautiful fg that you know belongs to you. GOOD LUCK! :victory:

ok this post is not directed at wanted wolf but just info for anyone else considering an fg

Anyway we had about 120 yards of dirt to move. The dirt was frozen so the bobcat had a hard time but we eventually got to the softer part. We loaded it up on the trailer. Its a 3 axle gooseneck trailer. We always put lots at the back but not much at the front to make it easier on the trailer to dump it. In this situation the trailer + dirt was around 12000 lbs. The dumping place was around half a km from us and through snow and a short highway stint. The fg was in low range the whole time. Man this thing can pull I never once ran out of power.

So we continue and its close to lunch time so we load up the trailer expcept this time we loaded it full. Big mistake! I think the weight was around 18000 lbs :Wow1: I didnt think much of it since the fg didnt sag at all! Does it ever sag? Anyway I jump in and start backing out. Everything is great. im on low and not feeling any struggling in the fg. So i get to the dump site and try to lift the dump trailer. Oh ****! The hydraulics would not lift it! Man I could not stop swearing at how stupid I was. I spent my time worrying about the truck and instead I screw up with the trailer! Anyway I went back took some dirt out with the bobcat and finally was able to dump it.

What a long day. Anyway moral of story... fg is capable but watch out for your trailer:ar15::violent-smiley-031::oops:

Thats awfull nice of you Tree, When can I expect delivery :)

It does look pretty sweet, I love the high side box, and that must be quite the plow. Not sure about the spreader (how much Id use it.)
Just the location, For a guy with alot of trucks and a class 1 I sure hate driving. Wait that last one is probably the reason I hate it.
Im having a hard time arranging the trip 1 province over in my country to see an FG. never mind the big border crossing. I have found another dodge close in B.C. though so that might make the trip more fruitfull if the FG doesnt work out.

Thanks for thinking of me though, and dont hesitate to post more where ever they are. If even just to see the pics. I think im in love.:drool:FG
The only thing that might beat it IMHO is the Hino 4x4, but where is it?

Long time no post

Hello again E.P. Folks

Just wanted to close this thread and say thank you for your help, and time
I didnt end up getting an FG. not sure if its what I need for the trailer. Maybe in the future, but for now I have solved the big issue with the Dodge, It was a VP44 inj pump failure.

You guys have some great rigs that have made me fall in love with the flat faced 4x4 trucks, But I might have to wait for that Hino Ranger (toyota nut)

Thanks again, and best wishes to everyone:)
