Almost 2 years/10k miles later and the DIY Raptor lining has held up 100% perfect.

Not too much has been done since: replaced the original head unit, added a rearview camera, replaced some propane hoses and fittings.

I still haven't done tires and it's time! Like right now! I picked up some older American Racing 172 Baja wheels that I'll be using (16x8"). I'm still thinking Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws but I I need to decide on TIRE SIZE.

Currently on small 225/75/16 worn out tires. 3.73 gears. Average 15.3 MPG. MPG is important to me so I'm hesitant to go to option #2 or #3 below. That said, some additional ground clearance would be nice.

1. 245/75/16, zero fitment issues (stock size on most). 30.5" diameter. 50lbs per tire.
2. 235/85/16, possible rubbing. Recommended wheel width is 7.5" max (new to me wheels are 8"). 31.73" diameter, 48lbs per tire.
3. 265/75/16, possible rubbing. 31.65" diameter, 56lbs per tire.

Help me decide?

I just put 235/85R16's on my rig to replace the 225's. Have minimal mileage on it since the tire change but initial impressions are very positive. Ride is smoother. It's an 8% difference in diameter. I'm running 4.10's so that works fine for my gearing.

Lots of new goodies and adventures!

Removed stripe decals
Sanded the cracked fiberglass gel coat up top and rolled on color matched Raptor. Finished up with a new pop top seal.
Vantage Optics HID projector headlights
Moog CC880 front spring w/ 4 Bilstein dampers

I went back and forth deciding on the WeldTech 4" kit or the small Moog spring lift. I'm content with the Moog springs and Bilsteins, given WeldTech is over 3x the price. It could probably still use either new leaf springs or an add a leaf to add an 1-2" lift in the rear.

Next up are tires, likely 235/85r16 as I've read conflicting fitment for 265/75r16. I'm thinking Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws.
