When I first saw this Thread, I thought you were talking about something like this, but I guess it isn't really a "jeep". :Wow1:

Thats just asking for trouble. Guns, cool trucks, and sand dunes...the only thing missing is a case of beer.

That is John Hunters Rig, he is a volunteer Sheriff that does a lot around here. I believe he said the buggy started life as an older FS Blazer. He owns Hunter Offroad and built the buggy himself on his own nickle. Awesome guy and great to have at our events.

Florida Fish and Game (FWC) runs them. I saw this lifted JK in Cecil-Webb/Babcock gun range last month in Punta Gorda Florida

A few weeks ago I saw two car transport trucks loaded each with about 5 Jeep Rubicons, they had Border Patrol logos on them. This was in CA on the 15 freeway.

My local PD had a couple of Grands for a while. They were seeing what fit the bill for them the best.

They also had some Explorers.

They went with the full size suburbans.

Across the bridge, in WI, they have a couple of TJ's on the police force.

Our local Forest Service drives Jeep JK Rubicons. I talked to a few BLM Rangers from the Moab area, and they told me that the Fedral Government put a moritorium on lift kits on any rigs. He was in a lifted Tahoe. The next thing we new they were all driving Jeep JKs.

Around my neck of the woods retired Forest Service vehicles are everywhere and there are a bunch of XJs you see driving around. I've heard enough horror stories of run ins with trees and stuff from forest service guys and wildland fire fighters that I would think twice about buying one from them.
