I would probably just buy a replacement cj6 tub and frame. Then just transfer everything you have over. That wouldn't be the cheapest way to do it, but it would probably be the easiest.
I think with a cj6 your still going to have to pack light!
I voted stretch. Ther are a lot of cj5s out there. Trailers are cool but kind of a pain on the trail. I would love to one day stretch a cj7 since scramblers are so rare.
My CJ9 (CJ7 +18") on airbags. I have no regrets. I have a back seat in the OEM location and almost 3' behind it. Take the seat out and I got a 5' cargo area.
Well looks like will be starting the stretch in a week or so. Hoping to have it finished by march since our wheeling season starts then. Then over the summer will stretch the top and start on a matching trailer:sombrero:
Stretch it. I stretched my TJ to an LJ and it is the best mod I have done. Tons of room. I would have bought a tub from a wrecked/damaged LJ if I had to do it all over though. I hate fabbing sheetmetal.
