Pop top for cargo van.

Junkyard is on option, if you live near a junkyard...the closest one to me is a 4.5 hour round trip. I'm willing to go to one any where within a couple days of here, but only if I know I am going to drive away with a top. I could waste a lot of hours looking for tops in junkyards.
I thought junkyards have a way of finding inventory at other yards? https://www.partshotlines.com/
You may have to buy part of a VW van to get what you want.

You could also just call the junkyard and ask...
There are often vans being parted out on Craigslist too.

What I'm saying is that if you're motivated enough to save the money, you'll find a top out there second hand because they are out there.

I do poptop conversions on Eurovans using end of lift Eurovans. The donor vans don't come cheap and you basically need the whole van to be able to extract many of the glued down frame parts.

You would be better off finding a Vanagon top than a Eurovan top. The vanagon top has a flatter sealing surface. The Eurovan top is curved both side to side and front to back to fit the contours of the Eurovan roof. Also probably much easier and cheaper to track down a Vanagon poptop.

I would suggest calling all the vendors who do pop tops and sell them individually to get yourself an exact price with no BS. Then figure out if it's worth installing it and if you can afford.
I personally don't care for the pop top because you lose the stealth ability to camp as comfortably. I prefer a fixed high top.
