Pop-up Camper Door Height Opinions

For those of you that own a pop-up camper:
What is the height of the opening for your camper door?
What is the make/model?
How tall are you?
How difficult/ annoying is it to get in and out repeatedly when you are actually using the thing?

I checked out a couple FWC offerings in person and am capable of getting in and out, but I'm trying to decide if the smaller doors on the pop-up campers will become a major annoyance on longer trips.

I have a FWC with rear-entry. I'm 6'5". It seemed like it might be an issue at first, but I don't have any problem with it. One of the biggest issues I had at the beginning was trying to use a step that was too tall. That causes a poor body position when entering/exiting the camper. A two-step Little Giant, with the "grab handle" cut off, is pretty much perfect.

I don't have a problem with my northstar tc800. You get used to it fast and just sorta learn to lean as you step up and in. I'm short, spouse is taller.

The kids though...they started small and didn't learn to duck to enter and then over the winter they grew. That was an ugly trip. :)

I don't have a pop-up, (yet) but when disembarking aircraft with similar issues, (low door height onto a ladder or stairs) I turn around and back out as it is easier to lean forward into the vehicle while stepping down and back than vice-versa. Especially if you are wearing a backpack.

I wish there was a way to create a tall doorway in a pop-up. Something like a brace that is removed or goes upward when you pop the top. Like a previous poster noted, it is important to get your step height sorted out.

Alaskan had a full height two piece door, but that’s a Hardside
I saw a popup from the 80s-90s that had a rear panel/door that folded and was full height

Most manufacturers use the short door so that the top of the door provides support when camper is on the jacks-there is a lot of force trying to push the top rear sides together

The full-height doors used to be more common. Apparently the lack of structure on the back wall really was an issue.

The FWC's are a little wider but shorter than others. I'll take the height over the width and I'm 6'4". Northstar provides padding up there but it still hurts hitting it.

I'd prefer the width! I snag backpacks and clothes and...well, I need to practice going in straight I guess. I'm not that wide.
