I have a great idea for the CR-V or the Scout II if I could figure out how to build it. The panels that come down on the sides to make a bed, I would like to do that, only coming down at the rear to legnthen the sleeping area and having tent fabric from that suspended/supported floor to the liftgate somehow.

I know this is a really old thread but...I have just seen these plans, and wondered if anyone on here has built this or something very similar. I am looking for a simple place to spend the night on hunting trips, and really don't want the trouble and expense of a cabover unit. 99% of the time it will just be me, so I don't need a lot of options. I have an aluminum cab high shell but getting in and out and not being able to stand up are becoming more of an issue. It looks like it could be a good camper with some updates, such as discard the bumper jacks and put in linear actuators. Any ideas or thoughts?
