If its exposed to the sun it'll need to be top coated.

I have heard that too.

Used it to seal the inside of the fuel tank on my 75 westy, if it were to f'up in there it would quickly cause all sorts of issues.. prep is critical as always.

They make actual fuel tank liner that is really good for tolerating fuel and coating fuel tanks.
