portable propane fueled freezer/fridge

after a somewhat-extensive search of the Camping Equipment forum, I didn't find any current information on 3-way power portable fridges (propane/electric).

Suggestions?

Both Norcold and Dometic make three way (12V/120V/propane) reefer/frezer products. The 3-way products do NOT chill or freeze on 12V, they simply maintain a 'pre-chilled' reefer to keep it cool. In 12V mode they generally require about 18 Amps per hour draw. They also require a <1 Amp feed to operate in propane mode - this supplies the computer with power.

I have a Dometic 120V/propane reefer/freezer in my Airstream 'hunting lodge' and it works fairly well on propane or 120V (Honda genset). I plan on getting a 3-way and have done some research, which is ongoing.

These are made primarily for RV applications where you do not want to be running propane while driving - generally considered bad ju-ju.

this is pretty much the only thing I found on ebay. Seems like it would almost be a good deal even with shipping costs if the quality was ok.

I Work with someone that has about a 7 cubic foot electric/propane fridge. I believe its for sale. If you are interested I can get some pics, find out if its in working order and get you a price if it is for sale.

Its for RV use. Its currently in a truck that used to pull an enclosed race car trailer. This guy used to drive locally.

These fridges when used on gas must be level, and the burner protected from wind.

Many of our Amish customers will use no other refrigerator.

I just find it funny. I guess what's the point of JUST not using electricity. If you are going to go old school, go all the way.

FYI: If you are looking at propane carefully research whether or not the model you choose can work at angles. Many (if not most) will shut off as soon as you start tilting offroad.

Thanks, but I did know about Lehmans. They were out of stock of most of the larger models.
Saw that model somewhere else- a little small, might work.
