Used one of those while I was in the Service. Kind of small, but would be great with a flip pac type tent.

Ours had A/C built in it also, nice feature.

While compact, I think it would serve well, as most of us aren't hanging out in our campers/tents anyway, but using them for safe storage and sleeping.

They're kinda heavy, but very cool. I would love to have used one of those as the foundation for my deuce and a half motorhome conversion, but it was a bit to small to live in for any extended period of time. It's amazing how much more space there is inside the M109 boxes, that replace the deuce beds, and are only a few inches bigger in each dimension.

somebody on here made a camper trailer out of one of those. he pulled it behind a new superduty...i think it was in the trailer section.

I saw a 4X4 UPS truck yesterday that was based on an F250.. the thing had some serious attitude..seemed expedition ready.. wish I had my camera. Had a nice metal box on the back similar to the comm box.

They are not insulated very well. About R-2, or ~3W/((sq. meter) X deg K).

If they are made like the one I pulled out of the back of my truck, they are based on a foam core w/ alum skin inside and out. Not a prob heating that thing. I think you could do it w/ a candle.

Now mine is an S-280 and that is the one that takes up the whole 8x12' bed. It looks like the first one was an S-250, made to fit in the back of a full size pick-up. Not sure about the second photo.
Have thought serious about putting one on a trailer and making it a camping/ live-in trailer.
