well. im a lurker. i just looked through all 162 pages. i fell in love with a few jeeps here. ive browsed around for a few months. never really feeling like i had a right to post since my jeep is stock and, well. im in college and dont have the money to do anything with it yet...but. here it is...

1999 XJ 4.0 4 door aw4 np231 8.25 rear hp d30 front all original. no rebuilds no swaps. been my dads since day one in 1999. 310,000 miles later shes mine we have made many road trips and camping trips in her.

Anybody that ever said Jeeps aren't reliable never drove one 310,000 miles.

Stock doesn't matter, its about getting out and enjoying. All the other stuff will come as the need arises. Welcome and good looking XJ for over 300K. Get out and enjoy.

thanks alot! the only flaws is that it has a ton of chips all over the front from most of those miles being on the highway. i think this jeep could be a contender for a world record going through more windsheilds than anyone else...

deffinatly. i see people on jeepforum always complaining about how theirs is a POS. maybe thats cause they took care of it like its a POS...

im limited at the moment. the front drive shaft wore out so im 200 bucks away from having 4x4 again. but i do take it out when i can, and i get sad when i go camping without it lol.

thank you. ive been debating if i should even touch it. leave it stock and get a black 99-01 and strip it down bare then build it up as a trail rig. but. if i cant afford to build my own how can i afford to buy another to build....all in due time. im only 19 i need to remember that

Yep. Vision X Tantrums.
Super easy to install. Just have to find the right location for them. I really like them on the trails when the doors are off.
