Getting ready for the Vermont Overland Trophy

Just got done with a Rubicon trip in my crawler that was converted to a camping rig. It's never done more than day trips before. Pretty interesting stuffing enough junk in it for two nights on the trail with three people. The black box on the back was something I tried to avoid but it just worked to well to put my camping/sleeping stuff in and have a pretty strong expectation of things remaining dry. Jeep did great on the trail and did "OK" on the highway from South Lake Tahoe to Loon Lake turnoff. After the trail I had to drive back to South Lake Tahoe. Maybe next time I'll take the JKU on the trail and just drive it out, but this worked pretty well and I was able to try any obstacle I wanted to on the Rubicon (as long as I thought it was "legal/open"). Stupid leaf springs just keep on working out well for me.
