Sorry to be "that guy" but a 285/75R18 should measure around 11-11.5" wide, not 9". Still, a skinnier 35 than most but a 9" wide tire would be more like a 225mm or 235mm tire.

In a way, both statements are kind of right.
Tire rack shows the Geolander has a 9" tread width, but has an overall section width (widest part of the tire) of 11.5".


It's pretty much the same for the Goodyear MT/R

Came home a few weeks back in one of my neighbours was doing a controlled burn of their big prairie. I loaded the nephews in the Jeep and we went up to the top of the hill behind the house to watch it for a while

First time Jeep owner, I've had lots of 4x4 Vans (still do) I was tossing around either building a Gladiator or a JK. When a forum member post up his rig I couldn't pass it up. It was turn key and ready to go with low miles and it was built with a lot the same parts I would have put on if I built a JK. So it was a win, win. This chassis is on its way out but man has it been a fun 10yrs with this girl. Haulin me, my wife, 3 kids and a dog, anywhere i point it. 97 2dr XJ 5speed 4.0. 10.3:1 Atlas and jk44s build on 37s
