I wanted to get away from the snow for a bit, so I went to Valley of Fire, NV between Xmas and New Year.
It was warm and beautiful.

Lucky! I've been out there for new years eve several times camping, and the last time it was about 18* lol.

Added this today.... should alleviate my worries of the rear tire falling off on the Intestate and killing all the occupants of an overloaded van full of nuns on there way to feed the homeless at the soup kitchen on Christmas Eve.

Since I was on a spending spree with Australian steel, I also went ahead and had the speedo gear changed too.

Now I know how much slower i'm driving than the posted limit while I'm on that interstate and stuck in the "fast' lane behind that same van of nuns that refuses to pass any vehicle in the slow lane.

I havent done much on the j10 yet. The wag is almost done with an engine rebuild and repaint of the engine bay.

2011 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 Hemi 4x4. I have a lift and bigger tired and 18" jku takeoffs that I am getting powdercoated waiting to be put on, Recovery hooks, led spot lights, and I'm building a drawer system for the rear. Trying to decide on what type of roof rack I want to build for it. Anyways, love the jeep. Very capable off road in it's stock form so I'm excited to see what the lift and aggressive a/t tires do to it.

Question about tire size, gears and trany? I am thinking about going 34" with 4;56 form adventure travel and still wonder if it is a good idea?

Spent a little time slushing around the Whitmore Hot Springs area this past weekend. The mountains in the background had just received 15 feet of snow in the three days!
