Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Andrew,

Actually it is the stock location for it.

I had a '95 D90 SW before restoring Blueboy.

The 90's spare as you probably know is much higher on the door.

On the FIRST off-highway trip with Blueboy over a trail I usually took the 90, I hit the tire and really beat-up the rear door!!!

Needless to say, I'm much more aware of it.

When I replace it, which I've been putting off, more than likely install a 110 door to raise it.

A spare tire relocater would take care of it, at least temporarily. I know a relocater usually adds leverage to the door, since it sits a bit further away than the stock carrier, but in you case you could turn your spare around thus keeping it close to the door and therefore eliminating a good part of the leverage.

thanks for the idea, yet, after 7 years with the beast, I've just gotten used to the location and drive accordingly.

the rear door really is in bad shape at the bottom which doesn't show on pics so it is just a matter of time before I have to replace it.

Here's my dads NAS 110, before and after.

Rovers spread like a dissease in my family, these are just the ones I have pics of.

Spotted a few Rovers in a sort of LR graveyard.

I knew exactly where those pics were taken from the fisrt pic, Dang I miss Ned.
I used to bike West Magnolia and Sourdough / Rainbow Lakes area.
I would always swing though that dirt parking lot in the corner just to see the goodies in that yard. Thanks for posting

Funny - that's exactly where I was. Took my son fishing along Caribou Creek.
