Nice!!

How did the little LR3 do on the Old Italian Creek road, it a rocky one I know?

It did pretty well. Yes, it was very rocky, but the LR3 tackled it like a champ. I did end up with a flat tire toward the end of the trail, but I got it changed and headed on my way.

That is going to be pretty awesome with those tires.

Thanks!
Im still short a couple tires. I at least need one more to make 4, but would also like a full size spare.
Speaking if which, if anyone knows where to get michelin xml's in the New England area...
:p

Nice! Evidently not a member of the local LR group? Might be a few Series, Disco's and RRC's if you were!:)

Had a nice off road day yesterday, was on MOD ( Ministery of Defence, yes the british army.. ) training grounds, so some nice easy bits but also 1 hill that many of us tried to climb.
My mate and i had the only modern landy's there so i stepped up to the challenge and gave it ignorance!

Looks reasonable doesn't it? Also note a crowd of Defenders that a government doesn't snatch up... ( sorry, had to say it :p )

The issue is, you need to go up the right side for a bit, then at a specific point, change over to the left. If you don't do it, or miss it. You're screwed and you need to try again.

The other issue is it's not a flat surface either, it has plenty of dips so throws you around and lifts wheels right up in the air, which doesn't help keeping the speed etc up.

I gave it my best, but sadly. I was not able to get the D3 up it. Much to my annoyance.

Blame is on the driver, tyres that are way past their best tbh, and the D3's weight and wheel base, it's just too long and gets caught up in the dips.

My mates D90 powered up it 3 times.

So, afterwords, i pissed off my local car wash people by getting them to clean it inside and out. So it looked like this at the end of the day... :D

The military wouldn't let me bring my 1958 GMC or Class C RV to Germany, so this will have to fill the void while I am here... maybe it will even make the trip back to the US in a few years!
