RE: 109 Station Wagon

Thanks for the kind words guys. The truck was sold new in Seattle and used in missionary service in Central America early in its life. It returned to Seattle and after changing hands a few times it underwent a long restoration. It is done to a very high standard. Total teardown, Series III engine/gearbox, Salisbury rear end, regalvanized components, etc. I have three land Rovers, a 109 pickup I restored in the late 90's, an 88 project, and the SW. I always wanted a 5 door and decided I would buy the best I could afford. It will serve our family for many years.

UPCruiser- Man I love the way you have that Disco setup. Build thread anywhere by chance?

No, I don't have a build thread, primarily because I didn't build it. It is actually my wife's truck and she had bought it pretty much as it sits. I put the RTT on it along with a netbook based gps setup, but that is about it. Luckily it had a thick folder of the work done to it so I know most of the vehicle's history.

It is a '95 5 speed with 2" OME suspension, not positive which springs but am guessing mediums front and heavies rear due to the even ride when it is loaded to the gills. Also..

4.6 conversion, about 30,000 miles now on new motor, 162,000 miles on truck
235/85's
bullbar
Borla catback system
Wilderness roof basket
rear ladder
upgraded rear driveshaft with serviceable flex coupler
safari snorkel
Land Rover seat covers and floor mats
Hella 500's
Poorly done hood black out

It had practically a mountain of upkeep down to it, just about everything has been gone through at least once and is likely the reason everything works in the truck. With that said, in the last 40 miles of our trip back from Amado, AZ I had the alternator fail on it.

It makes for a great package. Comfortable with plenty of power on the road, nimble handling (the RTT has affected that but only slightly), great sounding exhaust, and I have missed rowing my own gears the last few years.

There are a couple of videos of it on Vimeo, here is one that it is in..

We have actually been discussing selling it. Not for certain yet but are considering it.

My friend scored this some how, I just had to post it, I didn’t even ask if I could post it! I’d rather ask for forgiveness...he got it from Michigan with no rust….
