awesome truck! a service truck body would be a great platform for a camping rig IMO, hell i'd daily drive a truck with a service body on it.

I've got a '78 as well, club cab short bed, orginially a forsest service truck, now done up in the "macho" paint scheme.....They are great trucks. My biggest suggestion would be to get rid of the full time 4by. It sucks gas, and isn't the most reliable. I have the 400BB in mine and its a torquey sone of a gun, but running 33's, I only get 7mi on a good day. Would definitly go for the cummins swap if you plan on driving long distances. If you ever need any parts, PM me if you're having trouble finding them. My family a a few a buddies are all big mopar people with a treasure trove of parts :)

Hope your still around?? I see your in Wi as well. Im still searching for a crewcab late 70's era dodge. and possibly others..I usually only find club cabs.
