The power wagons came out of the chassis built for the military in WWII

They built these into the late 60's or 70's and exported them all around the world.

There are still a lot of them out there, and parts are surprisingly easy to find, not only here but around the world.

The dodge M-43 military ambulance (think MASH) would make a fine expedieion vehicle with a repower of the old flathead engine.

I'm doing that with an M-37 1 ton military pickup right now.

ARB even makes lockers for them.

Great video, i have been cruizing these posts to come up with a new expedition vehicle to build;and completely forgot about my 1947 1 ton power wagon stored at my best friends place in the California desert.
Maybe that is the quickest least expensive way to go...:smiley_drive:
