Power wagon rambox problems

got an email back from front runner:

That rack system is rated at 660 lbs. and can mount into the factory cargo tracks. We're not sure what the cargo rail weight capacity it, but we've seen them used with RTT in the past without any issues. We wouldn't recommend that much weight on the rack while traveling, but you shouldn't have any issues when parked.

Thanks for the help guys I've been back and forth with all kinds of ideas I've went from screw the bed ima take it off get a flat bed and put a 4 wheel camper on it to custom racks I'll post here again once I decide on what I'm going to do

The struggle is real. I'm the same way with mine. I almost bought a regular bed the other day.

I will say though that it looks like options are getting better everyday.

Four 10k lb ratchet straps. The closed cell foam rubber glued to the bottom of the 'feet' grips the ridges on the bedsides very well. It has never shifted even after some pretty good offroading.

IMG_4582.jpgGetting ready to build a contractor style shell with lift up side doors to allow access to ramboxes. Version 1 has a wood frame but eventually I'll do one with aluminum after the details are worked out

I've already built a bed rack system for bicycles and kayaks, but I want more lockable storage

The lower part bolts to the bed caps and allows for bed cover to roll back. Kayak rack has quick attachment to lower rack. Also have a bed slide.

Use it a bunch...couple times a month. Even keep a little camping gear in the truck at all times, just never know if I'll see a spot and decide to camp for the night.

yeah, gotta keep that air in there...if you pump in some helium, since it is lighter than air...you'll get better mpgs! :p

Have to be very careful in a RWD truck, too much helium in the bed will adversely impact traction, especially in bad weather! :smiley_drive:

I'm working on designing a custom rack for my Ram Box equiped Power Wagon. I've been thinking about a RTT for awhile now. And after spending a night out on a trail, I think this will happen sooner than later.

Anyone have any updates on rambox compatible racks? I'm in desperate need of one.
