Predicament...what to do?

Sorry I haven't been around, blasted server was being a pain. Anyways, the idea I have with this truck is to just tweak it slightly to make it more worthy off-road. Mostly mountain trails with the obstacles usually encountered (muddy ruts, puddles, gravel/rocks, snow, etc) and since I do a lot of camping, the bed will be done like that of bajataco's. It's just me and my mastiff (size of 2 people) so traveling will be easy. As to long range travel, drives to and from Wisconsin yearly. Thus the suspension, tires, protection and lights (driving and fog) will be added.

You should feel no shame by turning those offers down. Not only because both of the offers are for a lesser valuable vehicle but also, like others have mentioned, it was your father's truck and has sentimental value. Enjoy your new rig!

Oh yes, I do plan on keeping it. For some reason it's a new toy (no pun intended) and it's in much better shape than my old Chevy. But you know, when it comes to family, it's difficult to say "no".

even if they traded both vehicles for the one it would still be a losing deal. I've never met one person who got a toyota that didn't end up loving it. Plus it was your dads, so in 20 years you could tell your grandkids whos truck its was how its been in the family.
