Preventative Maintainance on MY Best Friends HJ60 Landcruisers Front End

I like the simplicity and lack of "bling" that your cargo system has. Reminds me of something I would build! So what are the plans? Are you getting it ready for any trips in particular?

Planned trips

Hello LaOutbacktrail Happy New Year and Happy trails.

To answer your query yes Mark and I are planning a trip up the top of our island to a spot called Croppies point were we are planning to explore the local 4x4 trails, there are a couple , one leeds to a lake and the other leads to the ocean and free campsites, I scouted the location over Xmas ( Attached a Photo 4 u sorry the quality is poor used an old phone LOL) and Mark and I are very much looking 4wrd to returning and exploring the tracks to find some more great campsites for Marks Family and ones that are Camper Trailer friendly.

CHeers 4 now.

Mark the gerry can holder came from Anaconda and i used the same sized bolts I gave you to help remove rear axle from truck. They are the perfect size and length, Just added some steel plate inside the doors for reinforcement and some shims to step the holder out from the door panel. :)
More than happy to help you to set one up on your truck as I plan to add another one on the LHS door and move the rego plate and light to the new location on the Gerry can holder. :)

cheers mate C U saturday for my MAintainance :)

Your welcome mate, it's always a good day spinning spanners on the cruiser...... 27 years of grime and grease cleaned out and refreshed, good for a few more now !!!!

Nice! I'll be tackling the front axle and suspension on mine soon.

Plenty of rags and degreeser, Cordless drill and wire wheels, Hot wash under first ideally take the wheels off to get at the axle assembly and on top of the cv housings.
Cordless drill makes old gasket removal almost fun :)
BBQ lunch and cold drinks :) We also enjoyed some profitters for desert LOL.
Best advice is to work along side your Best Friend. :)
