Hey guys I'm looking at a Discovery1 and I have found a 1999. It's got 115000 miles on it and is in great condition. What would be a good price for it? ie How much should I look to offer the guy.

auto or manual?
stock suspension?
any aftermarket goodies?

gonna presume no rust, based on your location, Has it ever been overheated? With more info, we will be able to give you a better idea, General ballpark w/o knowing the which engine it is would probably be 2000 - 4000. Are there many of them in your area?

Pfff... Don't pay more than 2500. It's a 10 year old truck, with 115,000 miles on it. If the heads haven't been done, get ready. You've got some maintenance to do right when you buy it ;)

I have never owned a Rover (yet), but from the other threads I have read (always lurking in the Rover threads as a secret admirer); you will spend most of your money replacing 80% of the drive line and suspension, just to make it dependable. So I wouldn't spend too much on the stock rig.

$2500 would be the max, for an operating 4X4 that is 10 years old, and in need of maintenance.

I spent 3900 on my 99 SD. It was in exceptional condition though with only one previous owner. And it's white ;)

awww man i spent 6grand on my 96 1 owner low mile pristine disco. And it's white:sombrero:

*that was in 2006, not sure if that was a good market price at that time or not. Plus i traded my truck for it and only paid 2k cash.

It doesn't really matter how much you buy a truck for, you're going to spend 5 to 10x that on mods and upgrades if you're like any of the other Land Rover owners in here.

I got a look at the rover this past weekend and it looks good.
The body has a small bit of rust on the rear passanger side door sea
and the idle pullie needs to be replased. Other than that it looks good.
How hard or what preventave things mould I do to fix the door seal.
