Primus Competes with Snow Peak?

Just noticed this line of products from Primus:

I suspect they are seeing Snow Peak as a competitor.

Wow. Nice looking stuff. Definitely stepping up the game a bit with a 'snow peak' similarity. Would like to see it in person. Hopefully REI will carry the new line.

Exactly. Their catalog features non-ad industry influenced copy which is a pleasant break from REI's stupid copy. I phone-ordered a bunch of stuff from them about 20 years ago....no interweb then! Haven't bought from them lately 'cause I don't need anything anymore.

Pretty much. You must be a member of the cooperative in order to make a purchase. This is a one-time $5 fee.

A couple of years ago, MEC made a surplus that was far too large, so I received a cheque for $167. Other years, it is generally around $25-50.

I used the link to MEC, because it was the easiest place to show the whole list of products.
