Prinsu Awning Mounting Brackets

Just a heads up to anyone looking at using the Prinsu Awning Mounting Brackets for a Rhino Rack Batwing Awning. They don't work. The slot spacing on the Rhino Rack Awning is 3 15/16". The largest slot spacing the Prinsu Bracket can accommodate is 3 5/8".

CBI Off Road is taking them back, no pushback from them. No offer to cover the return shipping. Looking closer at the CBI website, they don't mention Rhino Rack. I wanted to leave a review stating that it doesn't work for the Rhino Rack, but you have to be logged in to leave a review. I can't find anywhere on the CBI website to create a login. So, I can't leave a review. I thought this would be the next best thing.

I ordered these same prinsu brackets to mount a rhino rack batwing awning. While I was waiting for delivery I continued to search google for ANYONE that had attempted to use the Prinsu awning brackets with this awning model. Your post is the ONLY thing I found and definitely scared me that I'd have another set of brackets that wouldn't work with the prinsu rack and the batwing. Sure enough, when they showed up, you're correct in your measurements and they would not fit. The spacing on the channels of the Batwing are 10cm and the slot spacing on the Prinsu brackets are a max of 9.2075cm. Instead of returning to Truck Brigade where I ordered them, I took a dremel and extended the slot hole the necessary ~7-8mm. I put the sliding t-bolts into the Batwing channels to ensure I wasn't dremeling out more bracket material than necessary. Just drove up through Wyoming and everything worked perfectly. I'll be keeping an eye on the bolts to ensure everything stays tight. The only downside is that you obviously are removing the powder coating on the awning bracket in this small location on each bracket. I didnt re-coat the brackets with anything for weather protection, but I think it will be fine. I'll look to coat it if I start to notice any issues.

which model mount did you buy? Seems like that model is gone. Looking up picking up a 270 and do not see any state it works just ones that do not. Even called to ask them. Thx.
