We are the original owners of this gorgeous 1986 Suburban. This was our original family car that we have taken great pride in. This model came loaded with all the features including 4 wheel drive, Rear AC and Heat, towing package, fog lights. With only 82K miles on this, we mainly used this for trips over the years. You simply wont find a cleaner 80s Suburban like this! We had it rust-proofed and undercoated way-back-when and consequently the undercarriage is in great shape given the age.
We have all the maintenance records and changed the fluids regularly. Everything works on this rig and the condition inside and out is perfect. If youre in the market for an older Suburban based on their rugged design, availability of parts, or simply nostalgia, this is the jackpot! We had planned on keeping this forever so every expense was made to keep this vehicle running strong.
We kept the condition to be like factory-new, but made some enhancements to bring out the performance. Recently, we had a performance intake (filter, carb, intake, ignition timing) and outtake (headers, flowmaster exhaust) professionally installed. This thing really purrs but isnt obnoxious on the highway, with a whole lot of get-up-and-go. We also updated the AC and stereo system a few years ago for a cross-country trip. Wheels, tires and suspension were also upgraded.
One of the main unique features of this model is the capacity for 9 seat-belted occupants. Plus, with the back seats stowed away, there creates a huge bed for camping or cargo hauling. The rear window also retracts which creates fantastic ventilation with the windows down.
