I found two with your unique paint scheme that I was very interested in. I couldn't pull the trigger until I saw the Sage 40th. It was just too pretty:) Luckily Mrs. AB and Little AB are very much against selling the 4Runner. Little AB likes the idea of having "two trucks!". I think Mrs. AB will be okay as long as it doesn't become a burden as far as space. We hope to move to a bigger place in the next 12-24 months which would be awesome. At this point I feel like I have a pretty good collection going, and I know I'll regret it if I sell. My plan is now to focus on the LC. The 4Runner is still a great weekend/fun cruising vehicle, but the LC is much better suited for family especially with summer coming up (cold AC:)) I'd still like to order a soft top someday, though. We shall see.

Blasphemy!

Haha, congrats on the new addition to the Toyota family. LC's are definitely more kiddo friendly so it makes sense. I'm not sure if I'd still love our 4Runner as much if it didn't have AC.

Yeah, the 4Runner has a/c but the knucklehead who owned it before me removed the belt and the compressor claiming it yielded a significant HP gain. I don't know about that. It's still slow, and I have all the original equipment but haven't gotten around to reinstalling everything.

Honestly, there are few odds and ends I haven't gotten around to just because I was hesitant to start something when I knew I needed the truck to get to work on Monday. In that respect, it will be nice to have two vehicles. The LC is in good shape, but even baselining it could leave me with something torn apart for a few days. This way I'll still have transportation.

Amen to that, it was a real pain in the butt preparing our 4runner for this trip because I was still using it to get to work every 3rd day. I should've just rode a bike instead :sombrero:

Glad to see everything came together. Your's and defrag's blogs are by far my favorite to follow. If I still have the 4Runner in 20 years maybe it will see South America. Keep up the good work and be safe!:victory:

:( Selling my 4Runner :(

I've decided owning two trucks is not for me. The 4Runner has been garaged for about a year now, and I just can't stand to see her sit idle any longer. I'm attending to a few items at the moment (overhauling brakes, re-enforcing winch plate, and making sure the charging and fuel systems show no ill effect from having been parked). Once I finish I will put up an add in the classified section with price (should be 2-3 weeks). I will be travelling between Louisville, KY and the Grand Junction, CO area in late April and can make reasonable accommodations for delivery at any point in between.

I'll post a link to the classified add once it's officially up for sale. If you have any questions please feel free to PM.

I hate to see her go, but I love to watch her walk away:

Trying to push a friend in to this thing. I've been drooling over this truck for a long time, so buying it is the least he can do for me.

Come on, Eric, I know you're reading this...

How much?
I'll be posting a for sale ad in the next couple of weeks with details. I have a price in mind but I want to finish a few things and drive it around a bit first. It's been sitting for the better part of 12 months. I'd like to be sure everything is in working order.

Hey I'm looking into running 33's on my 1985 4Runner with a 2.5" OME lift. What kind of suspension are you running and how did you overcome the steering length change: Hysteer, adjustable drag link, or cusom pitman arm? Thanks
