Project Alpha Bound - 1985 4Runner Adventure Truck Build

Ruined Adventures

I'll be posting a for sale ad in the next couple of weeks with details. I have a price in mind but I want to finish a few things and drive it around a bit first. It's been sitting for the better part of 12 months. I'd like to be sure everything is in working order.
You should consider keeping the sleeping platform/storage build for your LC (or building a similar one for it). The flexibility to sleep inside with the pop-top down is VERY nice to have, especially when you're traveling solo and can't pop the top open (ex: no official campsites nearby). Also a great option after a few too many drinks, you can just sleep it out in a parking lot :sombrero: With the pop-top opened up, you may upset the neighborhood.

Not to mention, when you and the Mrs. are sleeping upstairs the kiddos can share sleeping arrangements below. Just a thought

Hey I'm looking into running 33's on my 1985 4Runner with a 2.5" OME lift. What kind of suspension are you running and how did you overcome the steering length change: Hysteer, adjustable drag link, or cusom pitman arm? Thanks

I believe the suspension is from All-Pro. It has hi steer and a drop pitman arm. I'd be happy to take some pictures if there's something specific that would help.

I'll be doing something in the same vein for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I'll let the platform for the 4Runner go with it, though. It was built for that space and fits it like a glove. Can't wait to take lessons learned from this rig and apply them to my 80. :)

Yeah man, any pictures would help. Do you mean a custom drop dragline or an actual custom pitman arm? And your lift is 3"?

The drag link is straight and is attached to a drop pitman arm. Pic:
