Project deer killer - liberty build

Well a lot of little stuffs been going on. Got a bunch of little things for Christmas (recovery strap, handheld spotlight, seat organizer, construction style bright orange rain suit, etc).

After Christmas we went for a little shopping trip in the US and I picked up a deep cycle battery for the back of the jeep to run my winch (and soon an inverter and portable/magnetic lights for camp. With my gift cards I also went out and bought a 220v flux core/mig welder.

And finally, I got my jeep back from the body shop, again, because they fudged a few things up the first go at it. Tow hooks are on the front now and ready to go. More pics tomorrow after the blizzards done.

I know! I got rid of my last crawling jeep in the spring and have been leaving the liberty alone because we were unsure if we were buying it out. However, we recently decided we are going to buy it out so its game on LOL. I plan on doing "family" wheeling/camping with this and eventually getting a light weight buggy or chopped up tracker/sami for the fun crawling stuff that I can tow behind the liberty (figure 1000lbs trailer and 2500lbs-3000lbs vehicle will be no issue behind the libby since it has factory tow package and is rated for 5000lbs)

i hit one with my commander about a month ago. it died pretty fast. But i was a little pissed because it scraped the paint off my freshly painted bumper, it also somehow broke the headlight mount even though it didn't touch it. oh well.

you can see the hair hanging out from the driver side fog light where i hit the deer and it scraped the paint off. crappy blackberry picture.

Well I seem to have great luck. Driving down the road the other day (less then 2 weeks from getting the jeep back from hitting the deer) a TJ pulled out infront of me (apparently thought my blinker was on) so yet again, I will be getting another new bumper and grill. I think I'm cursed

On another note, tow hooks are on and I completed a 3400km trip with no issues.

Its been a while... I've been busy with work, travelling for work, moved once, and am typing this while the moving company is packing up my house again. I'll be moving to about 30min away from the biggest provincial park in Canada (I think). Its bigger than some countries.

Mainly because of that and the trails in the area I've decided to keep building the liberty rather than something else more rock crawling orientated. Next few things will be a storage system for the trunk, a roof rack (looking for on kijiji), and continue looking for a damn trailer (m101, m416 or something similar). I cannot find one anywhere, not even a knock off.

haha, no photoshop. Its legs were mangled and after it flew through the air it rolled a few times across the ground and came to rest with its legs under it.

In other news I take possession of my first home Monday. No garage but a good sized shed with electrical.

How much are you looking to spend in a roof rack? There is a gentleman on the big Liberty forums who makes a bang-up roof rack in aluminum (similar to a rock-lizard) that I bought to replace my Rocky Road Outfitters Wilderness rach after I overloaded it (about 70kg) and the factory roof rails snapped completely off! They cost about $500 USD.

I love the area of the country you're in! I just visited Ottawa in April. I'm jealous!

I'm just looking for something cheap mainly to carry shovel/axe, single gas can and maybe a few light things if they don't fit.
