propane or naptha stove?

I'm looking to pick up a new multi burner camp stove and I was thinking I will standardize all of my equipment on either propane or white gas/naptha/...

Looking online it appears that anything I want is available in either format so I'm wondering what you guys choose and why? I'm leaning towards propane since that is what I mostly grew up with.

I'm a service tech, for a large bottled gas company. Even before working here, I have all my stuff LP. Easy to store, easy to work with, self propelled, etc. Besides, IF you were so inclined, you could find a small LP powered generator.....

But, thats just me...

I've been using white gas for years, mostly because I can get the fuel free and also because it seems to boils water at altitude faster.
Having said that, when my free supply of white gas dries up (probably won't, though), I'll probably buy a propane stove for convenience's sake.

I found naptha to be faster and way more BTU when the stoves were similar size, both 2 burner Colemans. Also carring 1 litre/quart of white gas was lots for lantern & stove for several days. Would probably have to bring about 4 of the 1 lb propane tanks for same capacity. No scientific study, just what I noticed. :chef:

thanks for the advice guys. Didn't get yours in time sunzhu. I brought home a new 3 burner coleman today. Very nice and so much larger then the old single burner propane that got my wife and I through a few trips. It wasn't going to work with there now being 4 of us.
